The Affair Series by S. Layne

[BLURB]
When the most difficult decision of Laurie Baker’s life needed to be made, she took off for a weekend alone to weigh her pros and cons and consider all her options.

What she didn’t expect was to run face first into one more complication her life didn’t need.

Distracting, sexy, and British, Liam Parker offered Laurie exactly what she needed when she was desperate for attention.

One night of pleasure.

She wanted it.
She craved it.
She took it.

And when the sunlight dawned and the lusty haze of one night of passion disappeared and reality revealed itself…

Laurie returned home knowing that everything she had once believed, everything she had once loved and desired, was about to be tossed upside down and shaken in a way she could never imagine.

[MY THOUGHTS]
I don't know if the name of the series makes it obvious, but this series is about cheating. So if you hate books about this topic, do not buy, download, or read.

Personally, I really enjoyed it.

What would you do if your husband cheated on you? I would probably end up in jail if I did what I wanted to do. Actually, I think I could get away with it... with all the CSI shows I've watched. I'm just kidding.... sort of.

When Laurie's husband cheated on her, she was heart broken. She felt stupid. She was so in love with James that she didn't even know there were any issues in their marriage.

How could James , her high school sweetheart, have sex with her best friend?

Laurie didn't know what to do. Then here comes Liam. He's sexy, hot, and confident. He makes her body scream. Too bad he's her new boss. He bought out her company, and she works directly under him. (Like my double entendre there?)

Liam first told her that he doesn't do long term relationships, but his actions say that he wants more from her.

Being with Liam makes Laurie feel beautiful and sexy. Her confidence is growing. But how can she let go of all the memories with James?

I really liked this book. Laurie isn't outgoing or loud, but I was still able to get really attached to her. I felt her confusion and frustration. I can see myself rereading this series.
