Gabriel's Inferno Series by Sylvain Reynard

This series made me want to read some of Dante's works, but it was a failed attempt. I'll just leave it to Sylvain Reynard.

I loved this series. It's erotic, dramatic, and intense. You might need a fan while you're reading this.

Echo (Black Lotus #2) by E.K. Blair

It's been said the longest echo ever measured lasted 75 seconds, but I can assure you, this will last much longer. The bang deafened the world around me, muting everything into nullity, allowing the reflection of its destruction to live far beyond its intended life.

It will follow me forever, destroying me—destroying you.

You want answers?

So do I.

No one can write like E.K. Blair. This series was an incredible journey.

I just wish book 3 ended differently.

Bang (Black Lotus #1) by E.K. Blair

They say when you take revenge against another you lose a part of your innocence.
But I’m not innocent.
I haven’t been for a very long time.
My innocence was stolen from me. Taken was the life I was supposed to have. The soul I was born with. The ruby heart embedded in a life full of hopes and dreams.

I never even had a choice.
I mourn that life. Mourn the what-ifs.
Until now.
I’m ready to take back what was always meant to be mine.

But every plan has a fatal flaw. Sometimes it’s the heart.

**Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only as some scenes may be particularly disturbing.**

No one can write like E.K. Blair. This series was an incredible journey.

I just wish book 3 ended differently.

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

Years ago, my boyfriend recommended me this book.

I'm not sure what he was implying. Did he mean that he'll love me even though he thinks that I've slept with a lot of guys? Or did he mean that he'll love me even if I sleep with a lot of guys?

I'm still unsure. Anyways, I married that boy. He is my rock, my strength, and my best friend.

Redeeming Love is a story about patience, faith, and forgiveness. The writing is beautiful and eloquent. This is a Christian fiction novel, but it isn't preachy. It's an unforgettable love story that will touch your heart deeply.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

“It may be unfair, but what happens in a few days, sometimes even a single day, can change the course of a whole lifetime."

Khaled Hosseini's #1 New York Times Bestselling Debut

Amir is the son of a wealthy Kabul merchant, a member of the ruling caste of Pashtuns. Hassan, his servant and constant companion, is a Hazara, a despised and impoverished caste. Their uncommon bond is torn by Amir's choice to abandon his friend amidst the increasing ethnic, religious, and political tensions of the dying years of the Afghan monarchy, wrenching them far apart. But so strong is the bond between the two boys that Amir journeys back to a distant world, to try to right past wrongs against the only true friend he ever had.

The unforgettable, heartbreaking story of the unlikely friendship between a wealthy boy and the son of his father’s servant, The Kite Runner is a beautifully crafted novel set in a country that is in the process of being destroyed. It is about the power of reading, the price of betrayal, and the possibility of redemption; and an exploration of the power of fathers over sons—their love, their sacrifices, their lies.

A sweeping story of family, love, and friendship told against the devastating backdrop of the history of Afghanistan over the last thirty years, The Kite Runner is an unusual and powerful novel that has become a beloved, one-of-a-kind classic.

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

Orphaned, penniless, Jacob Jankowski jumps a freight train in the dark, and in that instant, transforms his future.

By morning, he's landed a job with the Flying Squadron of the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. By nightfall, he's in love.

In an America made colourless by prohibition and the Depression, the circus is a refuge of sequins and sensuality. But behind the glamour lies a darker world, where both animals and men are dispensable. Where falling in love is the most dangerous act of all...

The Giver (The Giver Quartet #1) by Lois Lowry

Featuring photographic artwork from the feature film on the cover, this handsome edition of The Giver is perfect for fans of the movie and the literary classic. Lois Lowry's 1994 Newbery Medal–winning tale has become one of the most influential novels of our time. The haunting story centers on Jonas who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. Lois Lowry has written three companion novels to The Giver, including Gathering Blue, Messenger, and Son.

Millennium Series by Stieg Larsson

2429135 5060378 6892870

I keep forgetting that this series is called the Millennium Series and not The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Series.

Anyways, it doesn't matter. This is a must read. Even though the original version was in Swedish, the translation was on point. Please read this if you haven't already!
